Yes, and this is the honest heart of the decision. A full arm lift leaves a permanent scar running along the inner arm, from the armpit towards the elbow. It fades over time but it does not disappear, and unlike most body-contouring scars it is not hidden by underwear or a swimsuit: it shows in short sleeves and when you raise your arm. Many people judge the trade of loose skin for a long scar to be worth it. You should make that trade knowingly, not discover it afterwards, and any surgeon who glosses over the scar is not preparing you properly.

Yes. If the loose skin is limited to the upper part of the arm near the armpit, a shorter incision can be used and the scar is correspondingly smaller and better hidden. It only works when the excess skin is limited; if laxity extends toward the elbow, a mini version leaves the lower arm untreated. Which applies to you is decided by examining how far the loose skin extends, not by preference.

Only if the problem is fat rather than skin. Liposuction removes fat but does not tighten skin, so if your skin has lost elasticity, usually after major weight loss or with age, removing the fat underneath can leave the arm looking looser rather than better. Confirm the clinic or hospital accreditation on the accrediting body's own database, verify the surgeon's licence through the Turkish authorities, and prefer independent review platforms over a curated gallery. For arm lifts specifically, ask to see scars at 12 months or more, not fresh results, because a new arm lift always looks good and the scar is what develops over the following year.

Lower cost of living, lower salaries and a favourable exchange rate, the same as across Turkish medical travel, not a cheaper operation.
