Dr. Muhammed is an independent surgeon, not an employee of Istanbul European Clinic. We coordinate consultations, travel and interpretation; all clinical decisions and the procedure itself are theirs, at their own clinic or an accredited hospital.
Background
Dr. Muhammed Zübeyr Üçüncü is a General Surgery specialist and Associate Professor of Surgery, with more than a decade of clinical and surgical experience and an active academic and research profile. His practice focuses on bariatric and metabolic surgery, advanced laparoscopic procedures, and gastrointestinal, breast, and endocrine surgery.
He completed his medical degree and General Surgery residency at Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine (Çapa). He currently performs surgical procedures at two private hospitals in Istanbul: Istanbul Cerrahi Hospital in Şişli and Florya Hospital in Avcılar. He has also worked at Istanbul Florence Nightingale Hospital and Derindere Hospital earlier in his career, while contributing to medical education and research at Istanbul Gelişim University.
He is a member of leading international and national surgical societies, including IFSO, the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders.
